AI in art: More than generated paintings

My new column in the Frankfurter Rundschau 06.2023 // Artificial intelligence does not stop at art and the art market. This can benefit (almost) everyone involved.



Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently on everyone's lips and is also making its way into art and the art market. Artists can generate images by entering text and programming algorithms without ever picking up paint or a brush.

Does that mean that art is still art? The question of all questions that is constantly being asked anew - depending on the emergence of new technologies, approaches or fashion trends. To put it bluntly: AI is a new tool for the further development of digital art. There is no clear definition of what art is. The answer to the question is in the eye of the beholder.
